New sneak peak on TK8: Clash of the Icons, Curren Vs Occy


These clips feature many great waves and showcase some of the best Curren/Occy waves in the recent past. The TK8 is going to be a great tour and we are hosting the first premier here in Santa Barbara, as it featurs a couple of locals. Josh Pomer has put together a great combination of music, surf footage, and has creativtely presented it to you for you to enjoy. The footage is of a few winters past and a couple trip's that Josh had gone on this winter!

Tk8 Last Ride summer tour kicks off August 13th featuring live music by Tom Curren and a surf movie by director Josh Pomer.

Santa Barbara, California Tk8 Last Ride tour presents a rare, exiting experience to witness surf legend Tom Curren performing live never before seen music while simultaneously watching an incredible surf film shot by award winning film maker Josh Pomer. The showings will feature free giveaways, a DJ, opportunities to meet Tom Curren and other professional surfers, a raffle to win free local loot and more.

Produced by Josh Pomer Films and presented by Surfer Magazine, Fringe Clothing, Channel Islands Surfboards and Surf Happens, Tk8 Last Ride features surfers; Dane Reynolds, Kelly Slater, Tom Curren, Killian Garland, Ratboy and Bobby Martinez ripping it up at locations around the globe.

Catch the Tk8 Last Ride world premiere at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum August 13th, Santa Barbara, California. All profits from the show go toward the current Surfing Exhibit now open in the Museum. (For more information on the exhibit visit www.sbmm.org)

Tk8 Last Ride is only one of many exceptional documentary surf film produced by Josh Pomer Films. Joshua Leonard Pomer, a Santa Cruz local has been making surf films since 1992 and recently was presented The 2007 Billabong XXL Award in conjunction with Ken “Skindog” Collins. Joshua’s first international release “The Kill” also won him national recognition and was dubbed “one of the most influential surf films of the nineteen nineties” by Surfer Magazine.
