13th Annual Donnie Solomon

The Donnie Solomon Pro-am memorial was designed to honor a great waterman and also a great humanitarian .Donnie was a huge supporter of The American Red Cross .Donnie shared his last wave with Kelly Slater on a massive swell on the north shore of Oahu .It is great to see people still surfing in his name also every event raises awareness of the Red Cross .I have been doing the Donnie for about 4 years and I finally took home my first place plaque it was an honor.The best part of the day for me though was our paddle out where we heard stories from others about Donnie 's life and remembered his solid spirit long live Donnie.....
